Tastings – knowledge makes good drinks better
At Wärdshuset, we are flavour nerds and we’re not ashamed to say it! When you visit us, you will notice that every nook and cranny is infused with love for the world’s best beverages. We have received several awards and we’ve been named Sweden’s best beer and whisky pub. That thrills us, of course, but we are not resting on our laurels. Our passion for drinks is far too great for us to not continuously evolve. We regularly travel to distilleries and breweries in the hunt for new experiences.
Almost daily, we hold tastings featuring beer, whisky and other drinks. Over 6,000 people participate in our beverage tastings each year. We would be happy to customize a flavour journey for you, whether you want to experience exclusive rarities from mythical Scottish distilleries, specialties from the secret hiding spots of Belgian monks, or a beginner’s tasting in beer, whisky, cheese or whatever suits your fancy.
Tasting
Beginners and drink nerds alike enjoy our tastings because we have the advantage of offering a selection filled with wonderful varieties. In one year, over 1,400 different kinds of whisky and as many beers circulate through our shelves. This means no two tastings are the same, which may be why we have so many return guests.

Over 6,000 people visit us to take part in one of our different tasting packages each year.
If you enjoy experimenting on your own, each time you visit we have over 300 different exciting beers to try. And if that isn’t enough for you, have a chat with one of the restaurateurs and take a treasure hunt through all of the incredible rarities we have stored in our cellar. You will find, among other things, Westvleteren from many different yearly releases.
Open sandwich - with beer tasting
4 beers and 4 open sandwiches (At your own pace)
In our latest tasting concept, you have the chance to try 4 beers paired with 4 open sandwiches on your own at a table in the dining room. The open sandwiches are filling as a main course, but if you are especially hungry, then naturally you are welcome to order additional dishes from the menu.

Beer Tasting
5 beers with dinner in the dining room (about 1.5 hours)
On your own, you will try 5 different beers at the table with our planked pork from Grevbäcks Prästgård farm. The package includes a tour of our brewery and our fun beer collection. Enjoy a pleasant evening in the company of your friends, which we will season with exciting beers in a laid-back tasting format.

Upgrade your plank selection
At all tastings with a planked dish, you may upgrade your meal to salmon or beef fillet for SEK 100. (Done on-site at Wärdshuset)
Parties with fewer than the minimum number of people may be seated with others for the tasting.
* For guests who do not want to take part in the actual drink tasting, we offer a welcome drink, the house planked pork, a drink, and coffee and chocolate.
